A user requests a TC port for MacOS-X. Then came a short analysis of the platforms MacOS-X, Linux and Windows from Lefteous which was discussed a bit. Some Commanders for MacOS-X where proposed:
-) mc (midnight-commander), like Norton-Commander it comes with a shell-interfce but it's fast and powerfull. no integration with the rest of the desktop though...
-) muCommander, written in Java, available for all three platforms but nowhere realy integrated and not very feature-rich
-) XFolders: nativly for OS-X but very spartanic and terrible slow (on my 1GHz Powerbook with 768MB RAM it takes several seconds to switch the panels via TAB)
-) DiscOrder, a commercial programm (30Days trial) with some extras. I never tested it deeply because I had done my job with Finder or mc before the Trial-spash-screen went away
-) a Krusader-port via fink, but because of it's KDE-roots and dependencies to X11 it does not make fun on the Mac either..
